What films?

National Air Traffic Control Services
(c.1970)

UK film featuring many familiar aircraft and the technology of the time to keep flying safe. Has some thoughts on the possible use of satellites… and other predictions that didn’t happen!

18 minutes, colour

Safety Is No Accident (1962)

DCA film about Australian civil airline operations and the role of the controllers and inspectors in keeping the airways safe. Lots of Essendon movements!

29 minutes, colour

Mystery film

To be announced on the night!

We’re All In It (1946)

RAF safety film promoting safe operations on post-war military airfields. Much spectacular footage as a variety of Second World War surplus aircraft are destroyed in the process. Imagine deliberately crashing a Mosquito today! Similar but different to the film ‘No Alibi’ that was screened last Film Night.

20 minutes, B+W
